For those of you wondering how exciting the wonderful world of Jury Duty is... well, it isn't. Yesterday was my first day, and they called all of one jury panel the entire day. This is aparently far from the norm, but led to about 150 people sitting in a confined space for most of the day.

The good news is that I don't have to report this morning, but that doesn't mean my service is over just yet. I have to call the Jury Hotline (images of something akin to the Bat Phone dance in my head, but it's really just a pre-recorded message) to see when I need to report next. My guess is that time will be this afternoon.
