So day 2 didn't start until Wednesday. The courts called in a different group of people for Tuesday, so I didn't have to show up until Wednesday morning.
Anyway, Wednesday was even more dull than Monday. Absolutely no jury pools were called. Never have I had to endure anything as boring as that... unless you count a trans-atlantic flight, but even the coach class seats were more comfortable than what we had.
Thus ended my 'service' as a juror. A week filled with less excitement than watching paint dry, then crack, then flake off and fall to the ground.
Posted by Austin at May 12, 2007 02:40 PMyou know, i have been called to jury duty without fail every year (except 2007 but it's still early). and i really wouldn't mind it if i got to be part of a jury and not just part of a big group of people sitting in a sweltering hot room on crappy chairs with my novel ALREADY finished and me trying to get someone, anyone, to play euchre with me.
Posted by: d on May 14, 2007 10:18 PMHoly crap... that often? Geez, that sucks. And no euchre, even!
Posted by: Austin on May 16, 2007 06:27 AMI've been called for jury duty 3 times in the last 8 years, and I'm not even a U.S. citizen! ;)
