Most Disturbing Spam Evar

Straight from the "You Can't Make This Sh*t Up" file:

Hello my friend!
I am ready to kill myself and eat my dog, if medicine prices here are bad.
Look, the site and call me 1-800 if its wrong..
My dog and I are still alive :)

In hindsight, it's probably difficult to eat your dog after you're dead... I'm just sayin'.

Civic Duty... no, the other kind

I'm not sure if any of you have ever gotten a letter from the courts (unlike some fake ones), but I got word that I get to enjoy the awe-inspiring experience of Jury Duty!

In two weeks, I'll be treated to the exiting world of Jury Duty! This exercise in the judicial process may include sitting on my rear end, being bored out of my mind for hours on end in the jury pool room, and the possible excitement of actually being seated on a jury! Who knows... I might get placed on a case where someone is suing somebody else for 'damages', but then settle out of court! Or I may never be picked, but will instead be lucky enough waste away for days on end. The excitement! The suspense!

... That was about as much positive spin I can put on it.

Need another hobby?

So Janine has decided to begin preparing for a mini-Triathalon. As if this girl doesn't have enough on her plate, she's now adding a workout regimine that will prep her for a race that will consist of a 300-or-so yard swim, a decent bike ride, and a 5k run. She began this morning with a 6am spinning class... and won't get home until 10pm when she's done with class tonight. Oh yeah, and then she has homework and work work, too.

Me? Oh, I have a hockey game tonight. Gotta run!

Musings... finally

Long time no blog. Did I really skip all of March?

Anywho, things have been busy with work, travel, home improvement, and all things really not worth blogging about. Over the past 2 months I went to England & France, Janine went to Germany, and we both went to Michigan (real quick Easter howdy-do). Work is keeping both of us busy, and Janine's 3rd term of MBA school is only adding to her load.

In possibly bloggable news, I just found out yesterday that I've been randomly selected for jury duty in 3 weeks. That may turn out to be interesting or a complete waste of time.
