It smells like PIIIINE in here.

Such a day of yule! We went to the International House of Pancakes and its sister restuarnt, the Regional Bungalo of Bacon and Eggs. Then over to the Richardson Christmas Tree farm where we picked the best tree of them all. Even though I slammed my thumb in the car door, it was a good trip. We got the tree home and started cracking up. We knew starting out we had an 8.5" ceiling, but they all look so much smaller outside at the farm. The tree takes up half our living room, it feels like.

We put up some corporate brainwashing on our front door, but it's very nice to see that title and have it be valid now.

And lastly, our new blinds came in for the sliding glass door. It's woven wood instead of those vertical blinds everyone has. We like it a lot!

It's very strange to be having our first christmas together, setting up an actual tree. I keep thinking about traditions we used to do at home with the family, and think about how Austin and I are starting our own branch of the family now. Does this mean we can listen to "Dogs Barking Jingle Bells" non-stop now? I think it does.
