Queen of sheeba

Wow. I have needed a weekend like this for quite some time. That is, a weekend at home with no cable. Friday night and Saturday morning I ran around being productive, washing about eight loads of laundry and cleaning. I don't care what it was, if I could possibly fit it in the washing machine and it was at least partly fabric it got washed. The cable guy finanlly showed up at about 12:30, a half hour before I needed to be at a bridal shower. I spent the whole time he was here untangling a giant snarl in an itty-bitty necklace I wanted to wear, and felt like I had completed a quest by the time I got it. I rushed over all gussied up and had some good fun with nice ladies. I wasn't going to go when originally asked since I wouldn't know anyone, but I went anyway. My complaint with this town is that I don't know anyone and it's therefore boring, so I've started to make an effort to get out and meet more people.

That evening I cleared out a big black garbage bag of clothes to take to the salvation army. I have so much more room now! That's a good thing, since after all that laundry I didn't have anywhere to put the clean stuff. Today it's bright and sunny outside, so I'm heading out to run errands and have fun. Any day when you come back with a fire extinguisher, some beads, and a pack of band-aids sounds like it'll be an exciting night.
