Deonna - Maid of Honor: Deonna's known Janine since the sixth grade. Deonna's done the work of twelve bridesmaids, and is currently gunning for Martha Stewart's position once she gets locked away. Seriously. The chair you're sitting on right now? Deonna made it last night and switched it while you weren't looking. She's that good.
Shawn - Best Man: Shawn met Austin in college and has become a good friend to the bride and groom. Although he recently moved to Arizona planning on joining the police force, he still keeps in touch and is always ready to work some mad techie skillz. He's also one of the few people who know which Springfield the Simpsons live in. "But, you can always fall back on your degree in...communications!? Oh, dear Lord!"
Jessica: Austin's step-sister is a teacher
in Dallas who had a beautiful baby boy, Samuel, in February. She was
the first
person in Austin's family to get married and therefore can give us sage advice like "Check to make sure all the accessories are in the dress box before you leave the house" and "Stop circling the groom after lap number seven".
Stephen: Austin's brother-in-law, Jessica's
husband, is a physical therapist and an Ohio State fan (but we forgive him). He's been practicing his parenting skills on their Rhodesian Ridgeback, Ranger, and a cat named Scout. We believe Sam will be much easier to deal with than this duo who wrestle at every available opportunity.
Danielle: Austin's sister, a technical manager at Ariba, endured many "Whyyyy's?" growing up with Austin. She has used the "We'll tell you when you're older" phrase more times than anyone alive. Danielle, when you get a chance please tell Austin the rest of the "There once was a man from Nantucket..." limerick. He's been waiting patiently for ten years.
Steve: Janine's older brother is a computer engineer and revolutionary. He's a techie in the best way, and always tries out cool things ages before they filter down to the general public. He went to Iceland on his last vacation and while he had a wonderful time, he couldn't find any icelandic kelp powder. He'll just have to go back again some day.
Beth: Austin's step-sister had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy, and met her husband there. She is a gifted photographer who isn't afraid to use her knowledge of italian to impress her subjects into beautiful smiles. "Dite formaggio, maiale americano!"
Ray: Janine's brother Ray recently finished up at Ferris State with an automotive technology degree. He's a lot of fun at parties, and we expect Ray to practice Curly's circle on the floor so he can perform it at the reception. Whoo-whoo-whoo!
Orshi: Austin's best friend from high school is finishing her degree in nutrition at San Jose State University. After she graduates in 2003 she plans on interning in her home country of Hungary. We believe she will be able to bring the people of Hungary together with the people of Turkey and a side of vegetables, and they'll all watch football after stuffing themselves.
