Lock Out

It's official. The NHL owners have decided to lock the doors and put the next NHL season on hold.

This has been news for a while, but for those of you in the dark the story goes like this: NHL Players want money. Team owners want money. Neither can come up with a new contract to decide who gets how much. The old contract expires tonight.

The whole situation is much more complicated, but that's the simple story. Noone is quite sure how long it will be until they come up with a contract, but seeing that they've been negotiating for almost a year already a lot of people are doubting that there will even be a season this year.

Keep your fingers crossed...

Don't fret. Several of my Teddy Bear Playhouse Players are taking the ice and this year they don't even need the cones to cling to!They are definately worth the entertainment dollar. One kid's dad is even Canadian.
On a sore point, I found out why the UM football team lost to ND. Your band announcer Carl Grapentine was out for awhile with a heart attack, so his stirring BBAAAAAAANNNNNNDDDDD take the FIELD wasn't there to fire up the band, and so, the team felt it, and that's the way the domino falls.
Also, ND used the 2003 UM score #38 as their training mantra all summer. 38 pushups, lost by 38 laps, 38leg lifts, etc. They wanted revenge bad.
