Quarter-century

I've been asked way too many times in the past 48 hours 'How does twenty-five/a-quarter-century feel?' My response will very soon change from 'just fine, thanks' to 'a lot younger than you, dusty.'

Yesterday was a good day. Janine made a fuss over me by taking me out to dinner for wings and beer (and trivia that is much older than 25 years), getting me my very own Baskin Robbins ice cream cake, and then coming out to watch me play in an actual hockey game for the first time as a goalie. It's always good to have spectators at a game.

This weekend is a Coffman camping weekend. We're driving out to northern Michigan (not the UP, but close) to do some camping and kayaking. I'm not looking forward to the 7-hour drive each way, and the fact that we're leaving here about two hours before the sun will rise on Friday morning... but those are minor details. :-P
