I've got a job interview on Thursday. It's in their injection-molding division, which would actually be really cool. I always liked plastic processes in school and I just got lucky to be making bags up here insted of Off or Glade or something. This is one of the few places in Racine I'd still be able to work in plastics, and I think it's a step up on the technology scale. I'm not really worried about the interview itself, I'm just worried if this doesn't work out what my other options will be. The other thing I'm stressing over is how different the environment and culture will be. It's better than starting at a whole new company where I'd be learning from the ground up, but it looks like the style is different and I don't know much about the actual job being offered. The description "Staff Technologist" sounds like a sci-fi version of someone in a lab coat, surrounded by beakers full of various colored liquids.
Austin's up for the weekend, I plan on spending as much time as possible just unwinding. I don't want to get wound too tight between this, the wedding, and house-hunting so I'm making a concerted effort to relaaaaax. I'll stay on top of things and catch it before it rolls away into a big, harder-to-tackle problem.
