Money for nothing and your chicks for free

I left brighton last night at about 9 to head back up home and decided to play chicken with the gas gauge. Usually I freak out around a quarter tank and fill it up then but I was in a groove and didn't want to stop until I got home. I coasted into the gas station near my house on fumes, to realize I had left my wallet and all my money at my folks' house. I had a grand total of two dollars in change, and was just so upset with myself. I got bailed out my mom who didn't work until 11 this morning and drove it up to me, but I now feel the need to go buy her something pretty for wasting her morning on me. It just makes me mad, since it was the dumbest mistake after a fun and busy weekend. I *never* do stuff like that.

On the good side, I have a new hobby to try in the form of cake decorating. Deonna's mom loaned me her icing tips so I can play without investing any actual money. I think I'll try my hand at cupcakes first since I can easily bring them into work and let the vultures swoop down on them. That's the problem with living alone, it takes you two weeks to roll through a full batch of cupcakes. Two delightful, frosting-filled weeks. mmm.

ehhh, it happens. we had to overnight-mail mom's car keys to her once, because dad accidentally took them home with him from the lake.

Yeah, but it never happens to Janine. She never even forgot her lunch in grade school. She likes to be completely independent, not "semi-autonomous". It just goes to show you "No Man is an Island" and you should always make friends with your neighbors so they can lend you twenty bucks or give you rides. You can always reciprocate by giving them pretty cupcakes.
