A whole lotta stuff.

Austin was out this weekend, I'm sure he'll update you all on his travel woes. We got a ton of stuff done this weekend and most of it was pretty fun. Some bridal hoo-hah is tedious but we managed to do all of the expensive stuff this weekend and spending money is always fun.

First (since I'd freak out otherwise) we took the sampler in and it's being framed. The friendly gay guys who helped us so much were not working, so we had to deal with a very slow cranky woman. After that we went over to AAA to get some honeymoon brochures and start the planning for that. I'm still not real keen on the idea of a cruise, even though I know they're cheap and sunny. The woman helping us was not cool, so I asked which cruise line it was where all the people were getting sick. Surrounded by Disney Vacation materials, she tells me it was only Holland cruises. Hrm. Makes me want to purchase something from you? No.

The next day we met up with the videographer, paid for Austin's wedding band, and started the design process for mine. Austin's is this really cool tungsten carbide ring, with an inset band of platinum:

It's super hard like titanium but nice and heavy. It'll never scratch or tarnish, and we thought it was a good mix of flashy and subtle. My ring will be a plain platinum band, but we needed to custom make it so it'll match up with the engagement ring. There's a LOT of metal in this pretty thing.

After that we went to the movies and saw Chicago. I thought it was okay, but was expecting the songs to be catchier. I suppose I'm not cut out for jazz. We picked up some playstation accessories and finally went home. I finally got to introduce Austin to the wonders of Toejam and Earl on the sega, after years of hearing me sing the theme song when I wanted to be funky. Sunday for lunch we had a pizza-making contest with dough made from scratch and mine cooked on the pizza stone I haven't been able to use until now. And may I say, I make a really dang good homemade pizza. And that's mostly it!
